What it does
GitLab Duo Vulnerability Explanation summarises a SAST finding, how it could be exploited, and a suggested mitigation (/vulnerability_explain or Explain with AI). Vulnerability Resolution creates a merge request with proposed code changes (Resolve with AI). Docs also describe Agentic SAST Vulnerability Resolution, which can automatically analyse high/critical SAST findings on the default branch and open MRs with confidence scoring. GitLab states results are not guaranteed and must be reviewed. Explanation is generally available and requires a GitLab Duo add-on; Resolution is Ultimate plus GitLab Duo Enterprise (or Duo with Amazon Q). GitLab is all-remote; GitLab Inc’s mailing address is San Francisco, United States.
Frameworks
No framework tags verified yet.
Pricing (as published)
Requires GitLab Ultimate and a GitLab Duo add-on (Duo Enterprise or Duo with Amazon Q per docs). GitLab.com Premium is published at $29 per user/month billed annually with included GitLab Credits; Ultimate is listed on about.gitlab.com/pricing without a public dollar amount (sales/credits). Confirm current Duo add-on prices with GitLab.
India relevance
SAST explanation and MR-based resolution can support CERT-In-oriented vulnerability handling. GitLab does not market a CERT-In module.
