What it does

Contrast AI SmartFix is described in Contrast Security's documentation as an AI-powered agent for vulnerability remediation. It generates code fixes for vulnerabilities found by Contrast IAST (Assess) and Contrast SAST, using runtime analysis for IAST findings and file and line mapping for SAST findings. It runs through GitHub Actions on a schedule or on demand and opens pull requests with the proposed fixes. Teams supply a build command (ideally running tests) so the agent checks its changes build, plus an optional formatting command, and can cap the number of open SmartFix PRs. Teams bring their own LLM (Contrast docs recommend Anthropic Claude via AWS Bedrock or the Anthropic API; Gemini is documented as experimental). Code sent to the chosen LLM is subject to that provider's terms, and Contrast's docs say generated PRs should be reviewed before merging. Pricing is not published.
